12 Unique Wedding Venues in Winnipeg That’ll Make Your Guests Say “Wow!”
I remember attending my friend’s wedding last year. And I know saying that it looks straight out of a fairytale sounds cliche, but I swear, that’s the only way to describe it.
It was set in a forest, just beside a river. Plus, it was fall, so the forest ground was buried in golden-hued, crunchy leaves; add twinkling fairy lights, bouquets of wildflowers with fresh eucalyptus, and a wooden arch draped in white fabric—simple perfection.
So, if you’re tired of the usual church, banquet hall, or country club wedding, you’re in luck. We rounded up Winnipeg’s one-of-a-kind wedding venues that your guests will remember for years to come!

For a more traditional do, book their Grand Ballroom, which has soaring ceilings and a wrap-around riverside deck—it can host up to 350 for a sit-down, and 400 for a cocktail event. Another indoor option is their Half Ballroom, for those with 125 or fewer guests.
The Lower Lawn is popular for outdoor ceremonies, offering a lush space for large and small weddings. For a more intimate celebration, the Courtyard is also available, offering a water fountain feature in a romantic garden setting.
Our fave? Their Riverside Deck, which has a tree-lined river backdrop that is just so stunning—like something out of a romantic (or rom-com) film!

Now, for a bigger bash, their Level 3 atrium is the space to book; it can seat up to 200 guests, and it offers natural lighting, basalt columns, and Tyndall stone. The reception would be held at Bonnie & John Buhler Hall on Level 1.

For a more intimate affair, book the Mezzanine, which holds up to 150 guests and offers a stylish, elevated space overlooking the gardens.
What makes this venue extra special is its ever-changing floral displays. Your wedding could literally be one-of-a-kind, especially if you book it during a special floral art exhibition.

Here, you’ve got plenty of options for the ceremony—one is their outdoor venue overlooking the golf course, arranged theatre-style. If you prefer to be indoors, you can book the Pattison Atrium, which offers views of the Seine River and seats up to 250.
We recommend checking out their budget-friendly all-inclusive wedding packages. You can customize them, adding only the services that you need—options include catering, bar service, event planning, and decor.
All packages include a bridal suite, a ceremony arch, and the dance floor. Plus, their event team works with you every step of the way to make your vision come to life.
Pro Tip: Some former clients of St Boniface Golf Club made their guests sign on wine bottles instead of a guest book! This is cool since every time they pop a cork on their anniversary, they’ll be able to read a heartfelt note from their wedding guest. |
