5 Best Dog Grooming Services in Winnipeg That Pup Parents Totally Line up For
When my coworker first moved to Osborne Village, he was not yet familiar with the neighborhood. So he figured he’d just take his fur baby, Allen, to the nearest dog grooming place, which he later regretted.
Aside from the long wait time, Allen’s haircut looked a little uneven, and he was agitated the whole time. This is a far cry from their usual spot, when his pooch was calm from his first-ever visit.
After a few hits and misses, he finally found a spot that they both loved.
If you’re also on the hunt for dog grooming services, you can relax now. Here are the best ones in Winnipeg that you and your pup deserve.
How much do dog grooming services cost in Winnipeg?
Dog grooming services in Winnipeg typically cost between $60 and $100+, depending on the dog’s size and coat type.
Basic “bath and tidy” packages for small to medium dogs usually fall in the $70 to $90 range. Larger or long-coated dogs needing scissoring or custom trims can range from about $100 to $150 or more.

Business hours:
- Mon, Fri: 9 AM – 5 PM
- Tue – Thurs: 9 AM – 8 PM

Comb & Collar Grooming is run by Heidi, who has been caring for pups since she was 12. She started out walking and bathing dogs for family and friends, and that early passion still shines through today.
Her salon offers 10 grooming packages, so there’s something for every coat type and breed—from double-coated fluffballs and short-haired snugglers to curly poodles.
Their most popular package is the Bath and Full Haircut, a solid all-in-one option. It includes a custom shampoo and conditioner combo, a full haircut, blow-dry, nail trim and grind, plus ear cleaning and plucking.
There are also lots of custom add-ons and upgrades if you want to go the extra mile, like teeth brushing, color work on tails, de-matting, tick removal, and much more.
Just a heads up, though. Some customers have mentioned surprise charges, so ask for a full quote upfront if you’re adding extras.
Comb and Collar did the best job!!!
“I haven’t been able to find a groomer who brushes out Cooper’s curls. Comb and Collar did the best job!!! Cooper was happy when I picked him up, and I highly recommend taking your dog there, especially if it’s a doodle! Thanks to Mandy for her awesome job. 💕”

2. Castelo’s Dog Grooming

Address: 23 Wheatgrass Ln
Phone: (204) 599-9043
Business hours:
- Mon – Thurs: 8:30 AM – 6:30 PM
- Friday: 8:30 AM – 3 PM
Castelo’s Dog Grooming is a cozy, home-based salon where pups of all shapes and sizes get treated to quality care. This intimate setting is a plus for anxious pooches.
If you’ve got a new puppy under 4 months, try the Puppy First Spa. This full intro session includes nail trim, ear care, teeth spray, bath, blow dry, and all the little tidies like bum, face, and feet.
We like that it’s only $45 for the whole lot. It’s way more affordable than the $90 to $100 packages in other spots, where they charge separately for the bath and the trim.
For grown-up dogs, packages are size-based (small to extra large)—choose between a full groom or a bath & tidy/de-shedding session.
Note that they only handle dogs up to 100 lbs. Dogs that weigh more, such as Saint Bernards, Great Danes, or Mastiffs, would need to go elsewhere.

You can truly feel how much love and care they put into every visit. They always go above and beyond, and I know Missy is in the best hands. Highly recommend Castelo’s Dog Grooming to anyone who wants the very best for their fur babies!”

Address: 7-975 Thomas Ave
Phone: (204) 233-7332
Business hours:
- Mon – Thurs: 6 AM – 6:30 PM

Sprockett’s Doggy Day Camp was named after the founder’s first dog, a scrappy little stray she met at pony camp in 1995. After winning a horse show medal and her parents’ approval, he became family—and lived a full 21 years.
The Sprockett team is led by Brennly, a pro groomer with over a decade of experience and a Fear Free Certification. This is great news if your pup is anxious, aging, or sensitive.
As for packages, their Full Groom is the fan favorite. It’s loaded with premium shampoos tailored to your dog’s coat, blow drying, a full brush-out or de-shedding session, nail trimming and filing, ear care, and a full haircut.
They also offer special options for poodles and curly-coated breeds, plus ala carte services and add-ons.
However, we noticed that prices do run a little high—grooming larger dogs (90lbs+) can cost $150 or more.

I won’t be taking him anywhere else again
“Lucille did an absolutely AMAZING job grooming my very high-energy 1.5-year-old Samoyed. I used to take him somewhere else to get groomed every month, and he never looked this good! Thank you SO much, Lucille! Highly recommend taking your pup here for grooming. I won’t be taking him anywhere else again.”

4. Happy Tails Pet Resort & Spa

Business hours:
- Mon – Sun: Open 24 hours
Happy Tails Pet Resort & Spa isn’t just a dog grooming salon—it’s a full-blown luxury pet resort that includes doggy daycamp, boarding, and spa services.
Appointments are booked in five-hour blocks, which allows them to give your dog breaks when needed.
Each spa session includes nail trimming and filing, shampoo and conditioner, a blow dry, and a brushout. As a cherry on top, ear cleaning and plucking, a bacteria-fighting enzyme spray, and your choice of dog-safe perfume are bundled, too.
And here’s a bonus: if you’re booking a full groom, bath and tidy, or de-shed, your dog has the option to hang out in daycamp for the day.
We did hear about pet parents who experienced abrupt appointment cancellations. If your schedule’s tight, be sure to confirm ahead (or maybe have a backup plan).
Best place in the city to take your dog
“This is the best place in the city to take your dog. We love it here for our pup. When we first brought our dog there, they were very patient with him, gave a solid review of his readiness (he was a little guy back then), and then we brought him back when he was older. When we did bring him back, they had him with them. Handful of the small guys (I think about 3-5 pups his size), and then integrated him into the larger group of about 10-15 small dogs. Since then, he has been cared for, loved, and missed on days he wasn’t there. He participated in event days, picture days, and even birthday photos. And the daily updates on FB with photos really help put your mind at ease for all new folks.”
— Jelani Dennis (BlackTheRival), Google Review
The staff is incredibly caring and attentive
“We couldn’t be happier with Happy Tails. The staff is incredibly caring and attentive. My dog absolutely loves going and always comes home happy and tired from a day full of fun and play. Knowing Finn is in such great hands gives me complete peace of mind. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a safe, fun, and loving environment for their pup!”

5. Pride & Groom

Address: 569 Academy Rd
Phone: (204) 221-8569
Business hours:
- Mon – Sun: 9 AM – 5 PM
Pride & Groom was founded by Dawn, a certified groomer, in 2003. Since then, they’ve built a rep for low-stress, quality grooming care.
Unlike busier salons, they book by appointment, grooming each dog straight through 2 to 3 hours. Owners get a call as soon as their pup is done—no unnecessary waiting.
The grooming space itself is open-concept, with a separate bathing and drying area to keep the noise down, which is great for nervous pooches.
Their full groom includes bath, fluff dry, nail trim and file, ear cleaning, and a customer or breed-specific haircut. We like that they only use Nature’s Specialties shampoos, which are natural, non-toxic, and cruelty-free.
What’s cool is that new clients get $5 off their first groom.
Just be prepared to wait for an appointment, as their limited slots can mean longer booking times.
Pride and Groom are my go-to groomers in Winnipeg
“Pride and Groom are my go-to groomers in Winnipeg. My little man is pretty squirmy, and they always manage to do a great job trimming his nails. If I want to give him the full spa experience, I’ll pair the trim with a bath (full groom,) and he comes back to me smelling super fresh with the shiniest coat. I don’t know how they do it, I brush and clean my guy pretty much daily, but I never achieve the same result… love it!”
