When I crave comfort food, I always choose Indian fare. Nothing beats using warm and fluffy naan to scoop up that bowl of buttery, spicy chicken goodness.

My favorite here is the Butter Chicken; hands down the best I’ve ever had (and I’ve had quite a few). The sauce is incredibly rich, and you can customize the heat, too: mild, spicy, hot, and extra hot.
Your vegetarian friends aren’t left out either, since they have amazing plant-based dishes. Don’t miss their yummy Dal Makhani (black lentils in a tomato-based gravy) or Amritsari Kulcha (flatbread with spiced chickpeas).
Now, if you want to sample everything without breaking the bank, check out their daily lunch buffet from 11 AM to 5 PM. You can load up your plate for only $16.99!

To start your meal right, go for their mouthwatering samosas. These golden pastries are stuffed with delicious potatoes and peas; crisp on the outside and soft on the inside.
You can then enjoy another fan favorite: Palak Paneer. Imagine a spoonful of pureed spinach with lots of homemade fresh Indian cheese—one taste, and I swear you’ll come back here for more.
While I’ve never had a bad dish here, we heard a few complaints about overly greasy food.
The best Indian food I have had
“This place is absolutely fantastic! The best Indian food I have had at any restaurant by far. Thick, rich, flavourful, filling, amazing. Factoring in the portion size and how filling the food is, it is actually very reasonable as well. Their palak paneer is so good. So thick and flavourful with lots of cheese. Many other places it is runny and barely any cheese, not at Spice Circle! The Chicken Tikka Masala is the best as well! I have eaten in, and the staff was wonderful, very friendly. I have had delivery and take-away multiple times, and the food is always so delicious. I have never left a public review before, but wow, Spice Circle deserves 5 stars!”

One of the best samosas I’ve had in the city

Since opening in 2020, Shahi Flames has become a local favorite by serving a mix of authentic East Indian and Hakka cuisine. They stay true to authentic Indian cooking methods, including those smoky, high-heat tandoori techniques.
If you’re with a group, we recommend their Chicken Thali Platter—a festival of flavors in one huge plate. You get a bit of everything: butter chicken, naan, dal makhani, paneer, rice pudding, the works!
You should go for the Paneer Lababdar next; it’s a Chef’s Special for a reason. The paneer is simmered in a gravy that’s kind of sweet but super rich, thanks to a blend of cream and tangy tomatoes.
The best part is that you can hire them for customized catering services if you’re having a get-together.
Sure, a few customers have mentioned that their dishes aren’t as aromatic as they expected, but we honestly didn’t have that experience at all.

Their Butter Chicken is gluten-free and halal, making it a crowd favorite. It’s a dish that feels indulgent without being heavy, especially paired with warm naan or basmati rice.
A heartier option is their delicious Lamb Curry—the lamb is tender and boneless, slow-cooked with ginger, garlic, and tomato gravy that’s savory and comforting.
For those on a budget, watch out for their value meals, which are ideal for sharing. A popular option is their Meal for 2; you get 2 samosas, one veggie and one chicken entree of your choice, two naan breads, basmati rice, yogurt, and dessert.

5. Sigri Indian Bistro

Address: 55 Waterford Green Common B-11

A must-try is their Purani Delhi Butter Chicken. What I love about this version is that the sauce is velvety and smoky, with a balanced blend of tomatoes, butter, and spices; it’s rich without being overwhelming.
No butter chicken dish is complete without bread, and their signature Garlic Naan does not disappoint. It’s fresh, fluffy, and wonderfully blistered, with just the right hint of garlic.
And here’s an insider tip: if you sign up for their newsletter, you’ll get access to exclusive discounts and personalized updates—great if you plan on becoming a regular.
Unfortunately, their service does not seem to live up to their food. We heard that some of their servers could be a bit unprofessional at times.
