5 Best Pharmacies in Winnipeg for Trusted Everyday Care

Service Accessibility: I checked each pharmacy's hours and location to see how easy they are to visit. I gave higher marks to places that fit busy work schedules and everyday routines.

Product Selection: I reviewed the range of prescription medicines and over-the-counter products that each pharmacy carries. I also gave extra credit to locations that stock hard-to-find items as well as everyday essentials.

Clinical Capabilities: I reviewed the healthcare services that each pharmacy offers beyond prescription filling. I looked for helpful options like prescribing for minor illnesses and other everyday care.

Patient Convenience: I checked services that make life easier, such as free home delivery and custom medication packaging. These extras can save time and make managing your health much simpler.

Choosing the right pharmacy can really simplify your life, especially when you have work, family, or ongoing health needs to manage.

A great pharmacy in Winnipeg offers more than just prescription services. They can help with children’s care, give routine injections, and provide everyday health advice.

It feels good to have someone you trust, like a psychologist or osteopath, who knows you and is always ready to help.

I’ve gathered a list of some of Winnipeg’s top pharmacies to help you choose the right one. Let’s get started!

1. Sunshine Pharmacy

Website: https://spfpharmacy.com/

Address: 200-1383 Pembina Hwy

Contact: Phone : 833-781-5773 | Fax : 844-803-5627 | Email: [email protected]

Hours: Monday to Friday 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM Central Standard Time (CST)

If you want an easy way to manage your prescriptions without the usual retail hassle, Sunshine Pharmacy is a great option.

You can order your medication online, speak with a representative by phone, or even use a paper form. This flexibility makes it easy to choose the option that works best for you.

What also makes the process simple is that everything is handled in-house, with no third-party contractors involved.

On top of that, they carry a wide range of prescription and over-the-counter products, including medications for rare diseases that can be difficult to find.

However, the pharmacy is closed on weekends, which may be inconvenient for people who work weekdays.

Also, they can only fill valid Canadian prescriptions and cannot accept ones written by American doctors.

Pros

  • Community-based Winnipeg operation
  • Direct in-house order handling
  • Wide medication stock
  • Online and phone ordering options

Cons

  • No weekend opening
  • Cannot fill American prescriptions

Reliable Lower-Cost Prescription Support

Sunshine pharmacy in Canada has been the most successful, timely and professional pharmacy we have found for my mother. I highly recommend this business to anyone pursuing a lower cost option for certain drugs that the US has marketed in a costly fashion.

Timely Refills and Helpful Pharmacist Access

Sunshine Pharmacy has provided excellent service and dependability for receiving prescriptions on time.  We appreciate their refill notification when time to re-order.  There is a pharmacist available to answer questions, when needed.   I highly recommend this pharmacy to anyone.

Address: 359 Johnson Avenue

Contact: Email: [email protected] | Phone: 204-654-9499 | Fax: 204-654-9505

Hours: Monday to Friday 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM, Saturday 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM

You Drug Mart helps you skip long clinic waits by allowing pharmacists to assess certain minor illnesses, including cold sores, and prescribe treatment when appropriate.

One thing people really appreciate is having an express medical clinic in the same building, which makes getting care much more convenient.

You’ll also find hands-on diabetes education, where patients learn how to use blood glucose meters and insulin pens with confidence.

Plus, they offer free prescription delivery throughout Winnipeg and the Interlake region, making it even easier to stay on top of your medications.

The only drawback is that urinary tract infection (UTI) prescribing is limited to non-pregnant women with low-risk histories, so men and children aren’t eligible. Same-day clinic appointments can also vary depending on the daily schedule.

Pros

  • Free local area delivery
  • Pharmacist minor illness prescribing
  • Attached medical clinic access
  • Hands-on diabetes education

Cons

  • Strict limitations on infection treatments
  • Clinic visits depend on daily schedule

Accommodating and Knowledgeable Pharmacy Team

Great service always at You Drug mart. I’m not the best at remembering when I need to order my meds, and when I do the team is always very accommodating and timely with their service. Jas the pharmacist is very knowledgeable and patient always ensuring I feel comfortable with with my new prescription before I leave the pharmacy. I always feel like I can reach out with questions at any time and Jas will kindly answer them.

Personalized Refill Care Across the City

Moved provinces and this pharmacy was simply the closest… Now I’ll travel across the city if I have to just to keep coming here. The staff are just incredible. It’s a rarity to find a place that remembers you when they see so many faces a day. But Jas and Nicole never fail to greet me by name every month when I stop in for my refills. Plus they’re more on top of my prescription refills than I am, and for that I’m very grateful.

Long-Term Family Pharmacy Care

Glen is amazing! we have been dealing with Glen for 14 years now and he has always taken good care of my children’s medications. he has always gone above and beyond for our family, and we can’t thank him enough! 5 stars isn’t even enough to say how amazing this pharmacy actually is!

Respectful Service and Great Pharmacy Selection

This is the very best pharmacy in WPG. The pharmacists there are excellent well mannered professionals. They treat people with respect and dignity. They have one of the lowest dispensary prices  in WPG. It’s very busy there, you have to be patient while waiting. It’s has a great little convenience store build into the pharmacy with lots of dietary snacks for gluten free and diabetic individuals. I would recommend this pharmacy hands down.
